Description

after a ripping demo tape on Drug Party tapes, this is the debut vinyl release for the Utah Jazz. members of Brown Sugar and Mayday! join forces for this maniacal band. This is a truly mind-blowing record. But don't take MY word for it. Here's the MRR review:

This is really good. There's my review. Oh, OK - members of MAYDAY! and BROWN SUGAR playing bratty punk that reminds me of the REZILLOS, the MONORCHID, and some UK DIY tape-only release from 1981 all combined and played at top volume at some basement party rager. There is flute! But it doesn't sound like JETHRO TULL. And the girl who sand for MAYDAY! can sing, so there is singing on this, as well as desperate frantic yelling. The title track is a manic instrumental, like the FALL on more speed than usual. This veers between vicious punk garage and psyche-troglodytes, sort of Nuggets-like for the people who buy their MRR at the head shop.
